Killer tracked down and arrested. Looks like DNAPrint Genomics was likely involved:

DNA evidence led police to the killer of TV Anchorwoman, Anne Pressly.

Google News search on these developments:

It sounds like DNAPrint Genomics may have been involved... DNA evidence found at the crime scene provided a lead. Later, the suspect provided a DNA sample, which confirmed the match, and implicated him in another crime, as well. This implies the lead didn't stem from a pre-existing entry in a DNA database.

It appears to be an open question, how that DNA at the crime scene was processed, but my best educated guess is, DNAPrint Genomics' DNAWitness. What else could have led them to the suspect, using DNA from the crime scene, if not DNAWitness?
