I know! Especially since I'm one of those guys with my hand out all the time! Haven't gotten a deer..... EVER.... and I'm 32. Been hunting since I was 12 yrs old.
Sucks sometimes, but I just love to get out and hunt in the woods and clear my head.
I heard a guy say yesterday on the radio that he's been hunting for 35 years and just got his first deer (Buck) this year. Thats nutz. Hope it doesn't take me that long. I been hunting 20 years now (had 3 years off though when my kids were newborns)
Shot a doe once, and tracked her forever until dark, then she crossed a stream into state game lands and it was too dark to continue. Was really upset over that one. Hit her low cuz she walked directly under my stand. Shot at a buck once from 300 yards. Swore I hit him but nothing. Couldn't find any blood.

Stocks are much like a crapshoot! Sometimes you WIN, sometimes you LOSE! But you can't win if you dont play!
