US Dollar Likely to Gain on Global Recession Fears
A deepening global recession should continue to boost demand for the dollar next week as investors unload stocks, commodities and other risky assets to park their money in the relative safety of the US currency.
The dollar gained traction against major currencies on Friday, rising as fears about the depth and breadth of a global recession reasserted influence on sentiment.
More dismal U.S. economic data, including a report next Friday that some fear will show more than 300,000 U.S. job losses in November, could hit stocks and boost the dollar.
Even so.....I still think the upside for the greenback is limited....way more oppurtunity to the south & thus the risk/reward factor is quite hard ta pass up. I aint drinken the dollar Bull aqua...sorry Daiello....sure, not sayin it's at the top....but I'm willing ta eat another hat or 2 over the next few weeks....the next line in da sand is drawn ;)~
