I think you have the BLDV board all wrong.
Jatropha is a viable feedstock for biodiesel as it can produce about 2000+ gallons to the acres.

From conventional feedstocks in the US, biodiesel is not economical at this time.
Diesel is too price competitive now that oil prices have fallen significantly.
