Well when I said we'd surely be seein more folks comin to the board b/c of the cnbc/fxcm deal....I must admit, I surely didn't expect sooo many upset campers over such a short period of time....can't say I am at all surprised tho.
Afterall, when u set folks up to fail @ 400-1 on micro lots, that aint gonna be puttin a good taste in their mouth....the complete opposite of what fxcm should be doin w/this promotion....set them up to be winners, then over time these new accts will be much more prone to actually make a cc dep or two.....thinken...hey, I can do this. Most folks as we know will eventually get greedy & lose their shirts.
But no, fxcm has choosen to allow this promotion to give them a bad name....unreal. & furthermore, I gotta agree w/andrius here w/re to fxcm's execution. I played w/the demo for a coupla days prior to getting my cnbc $25 just so I could get a better feel for the navigation in advance...this is how I found that my demo fills where ALWAYS on the lower spreads...then when I go to trade on the live side....even tho I thought I was makin a trade a based on the present spread (I tried waiting for the spreads to tick down a few micro/mini pips) I come to find that they CONSISTENTLY filled me on a spread that wasn't even bein quoted at the time, of course a spread that was incredibly high as compared to what the ave spread was at the time. R U kidding me....& all this on promotion.....they have no clue whatsoever the true intetentions of the strat behind running a promo....like I say, if they continue playin these games (not to even mention forcing the 400-1 on folks w/this promo) it's sure to backfire on'em...as we're already seeing just 1 week into it....& as it should be.
& I must say, I too do not like the look & feel of the navigation there.....even w/all the Newbie probs I'm having w/the ODL platfrom I've been tryin the last few days, I still like the look & a feel of it far better than fxcm....in fact of all the demo's I've tried on over the last 2 yrs or so, fxcm is my least fav hands down...not even close. I'm convinced fxcm really doesn't want to cater to their micro accts.....to the contrary.....they wanna kick thier arses right out the door.
OK...enuff fxcm bashin....me thinks we'll be seein plenty more of it over the coming days/weeks.
