Thats my point, this downturn in the economy is going to be here a while and places like Hawaii that depend heavily, almost solely on your vacation dollar are going to suffer badly which means lower real estate values, great buying opportunity. All this coincides with WNBD taking off during 2009 and 2010. So timing couldn't be better for us if we were to pool monies together to buy an investment like this. I'm in real estate, so this is a no brainer to me. If not Hawaii, could be Mexico, South Africa, anywhere tropical. I have been to South Africa and you can buy an oceanfront mansion like what you would have seen on Robin Leaches Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous for very little, $300,000 +/-. Something that would be millions here on our coastline. We could buy a 20 or 30 unit building on the ocean, no hurricanes all for very reasonable number. People from Germany, England, America love to vacation there, again a real estate guy takes care of renting it and a steady cleaning lady or ladies to clean each unit as needed after checkout.
