I too, am looking forward to reclaiming the steel, but I don't think we have a way of doing so presently. I believe that the only thing we can do at the moment is buff the tires... and in doing so are able to also retrieve some small amount of crumb rubber and rubber mesh as a byproduct of the buffing.
It seems that nobody (on here anyhow)has a timeline for when we'll be able to separate the steel from the rubber. Nor do I know what kind of processing will be used to facilitate this processing. (cryogenic or not to cryogenic)
Very encouraging to see the Magog facility in the political spotlight... as an example of new/expanding business in a very tough economic time... And it seems that no matter what party is in power... they will certainly have to offer some assistance to us.... the more the better!
