I'm sure the did! That would help with they regulators, but the point of the merger is to capture economies of scale. So outside of production they will have to cut jobs (in the long run they will merge production). Those jobs to be cut will be management. You don't need two anti piracy managers, or two CEOs or two COOs etc.! Unfortunately, these are the guys that make the decision to use SCMI. Not the production managers. Although I think the artists have a big say (until October).

And I was told the contract with BMG doesn't have production minimums. So they could not use us if they wanted to.

BUT I still think clear heads will chose SCMI. Especially with the evidence that it helps the bottom line. And now with a #1 album using SCMI I think the fear factor will subside. I don't see anyone boycotting Velvet Revolver. The fact is that if you want the music you'll get it. And if you have to, you'll pay for it.
