if they still haven't covered by the time it uplists, then they get to pay a higher price on the new exchange, and there is no getting out of it, period.
I still haven't gotten a concrete answer about notification timeline, just that the brokers have to be notified at some point, my thoughts were they would have 10-13 days to cover as they normally do, but this talk of uplist to new exchange overnight with no cutover date doesn't make much legal sense.
Of course, we could see the new exchange pr accepting the company to their exchange, then a couple weeks of trading still here on the pinks while they get the shares they need to cover, whcih would drive the price way up imo during that time. If the cutover date is announced that would be the final day on the pinks, and the day when all short positions would have to be reconciled by, else they get to pay the piper in merry old London town, lol~
