now as for yours truly, the last 6+ yrs (from April '02) is where I've truly begin to lose ground....think I began ta really feel all the affects about 3-3.5 yrs ago. It's to the point now where if I happen ta get 4 hrs straight I feel as if I've slept for 10+ hrs. They say when this occurs is when you're at stage 2 or 3 (I think there's 4 or 5 stages they mention) in terms of the longer term mental severity/toll it takes on you.
Albeit, the younger u r (past the range of 18-20 y.o.) the less likely it is that u will feel the negative affects...or perhaps I should say the longer it will be til u begin ta feel any negative repurcusions.
However in cases like Daiello's, where ya only take 2-3 hr catnaps ever 48 hrs...do this consistently (not sure how consistent he is w/this sorta pattern?) & u will most likely begin ta experience negative repurcusions earlier in life.
In short, the more sleep u lose on a consistent basis, the wrose off u will be at an earlier age. & if u don't begin to lose sleep until u r older (like me who begun losin sleep at age 39) u will begin to feel the onset of the negative affects sooner....which as mentioned I think I truly began ta feel it approx 3 yrs ago.
Thankfully now, the girls are becomming better sleepers....& now that the older dog is no longer w/us, I've found that I'm starting to at least get 4-5 hrs/night straight...tho the last few nights w/the girls bein under the weather that took some regression.
So Daiello, bein that u r in the 22-25 age range (is that right?) u may not feel it so much right away....but continue in this routine & it will catch up to ya. I would at least try ta get 4-5 consistent hrs a night....& they also say that the timing of your sleep plays an important role as well.....ie u should try to sleep during the exact same hrs each night...like 1a-6a if u choose to only get 5 hrs/night. This way the body is able to program itself so that u will get the absolute most out of each sleeping hr...which is key, especially if u choose to get 5-6 hrs/night on a consistent basis...which is 2-3 hrs under what's rec'd.
OK....enuff Sandman talk...but as far as Daiello goes....try to be kinder to your body, u may not feel it now, but trust me, if u keep it up, at this pace u will def feel it as u age....& sooner than later.
