I agree with all of that other than whether Obama is qualified to be president. I guess I put more weight on raw brainpower,relevant education and temperament where others prefer experience, or "executive experience" in palin's case, but that's what elections are all about.
Now, as you said, that's all in the past and we have what we have. We'll be much better served if we focus on what we CAN do now rather than what has been done.
I know one thing for sure...
If two people as intelligent as I believe you and I are, and who started from such close positions can't find a path to honest reconciliation and open dialogue, then the country as a whole doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of doing it.
Fortunately, I think Obama's 75% Favorable rating bodes well for us all. It shows that America is hopeful and willing to give him a chance and try to keep an open mind.
Let's be part of the constructive dialogue and put all that nastiness behind us.
