It looks to me as if the "buffing" process removes the treaded (or bald!) part of the tire... down to the steel belting. I am wondering what happens to the rest of the tire too. It would seem that we will have a LOT of partially reclaimed rubber left "on the hoof" so to speak. This is something that hasn't been addressed yet... Sounds like we will have to stockpile buffed tires until we can reclaim the rest of the rubber and steel. It has been claimed that we will be into the fine powders by early next year... I HOPE that means that this part will come from the rest of the tire... and that we will have the equipment in place to do this by then. I'd like a simple answer to how many buffing machines will we need to fulfill the present buffings contract.... and what will we need for the existing nugget contracts as well? What part of the tire do the nuggets come from? Is it an either/or proposition... for claiming either buffings/or nuggets on a tire?
