Although, another possibility could be:

Financial results may include payments (or at least mentions thereof) from orders that are not yet placed or completed (such as a tentative verbal agreement to buy X shipments at Y dollars). If such a deal falls through, then the financials would reflect money that we'd never get. Thus, it would appear that Jared were "cooking the books" in his favor...making EESO look financially stronger than it actually is.
