Stockbuilder, I sold 19 stocks in June of 2007 and that was EVERYTHING that I had. I have made several trades since then without much success with the exception of FRE which I traded on the bounce from 30 cents to somewhere around $2.50. I have kept tract of the stocks that I sold in June of 2007 and as of October 10th they were down $234,460. I'm sure that they are probably even lower now. My going to cash was about 400 points below the peak in the Dow, but You will NEVER convience me that selling wasn't the right thing for ME to do. Maybe I am just lucky, I don't know as I went to 100% cash 4 weeks before the 1987 crash and I sold everything again in March of 2000. I have not always picked the bottom to re-enter, but believe me it was always way below where I got out.
