Hey Shadow!! As far as having babies & being lazy - I totally hear you....
I became pregnant my first year of college by my highschool sweetheart....I was only 19 & devastated....
I lived on my own & never ever made excuses, I wanted to raise my baby & be home with her but knew I had to make money...Going on Welfare was never an option in my mind....just wouldn't have felt right....so I did Daycare in my home for a few families....Perfect- I didn't miss a moment with my baby & I was able to support myself....
When my daughter started school I put myself through nursing school with a student loan & also worked as much as I could- I went to an excelerated nursing schoolthat was the best in the state & it was very intense - They swished 2 years of education into one...It was a year long program & I went 40 hours a week & worked too! It was the hardest year of my life but I knew I had to do it for me & my daughter.....
As for her father & I, we decided to part ways when she was barely 5. We were amicable & I have never had to take him to court for child support....He gives me money every 2 weeks & would help me with more all I would have to do is ask....She has always come first for us eventhough we are not together.....I always put half of the money he gives me into a trustfund for her. I have never put any of that money in my account...ever...The other half of the money I keep on hand & give it to her if she needs something or I give it to her for an allowance after she does chores...
My daughter just turned 17 yesterday & she is such a good kid! She has 2 jobs unlike her friends who are given everything by there parents & don't have to earn it....
So I say if at 19 years old I could support myself & put myself through school without using any kind of assistance & raise a great daughter who shares my same values anyone can do it.....There should be no excuses.....This country is the greatest in the world & I am so proud to be an American -
Somehow, Somewhere the officials representing us went astray...They really need get back to following the constitution....
Some people compare Obama to JFK but I actually think they aren't alike at all.....
JFK was famous for saying: "ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU but what you can do for your country."
