Its not so much the winter cold here, which averages 34* (which is nothing) but that the county prohibits the drilling rigs from driving on the backroads during spring thaw, when the roads are saturated and loose and vulnerable. I believe the access date was April. The farmers love it when the ground freezes because they can get those late crops out without doing damage or making ruts. Cold is not an issue.
