However, IMHO he could score a few points for the "home team" if he takes a stab at the big bad corporations who make money off of the mortgage mess...in one of his speeches he spoke about not bailing out investors in FRE; "those people who are trying to profit from other people's misery" or something to that extent.
I realize this is in contradiction from my earlier post of him wanting to preserve pensions and 401K's but I've heard evidence to support both points of view...who knows what he'll actually be able to pull off. Just because he's president and has a majority senate and congress doesn't mean he'll be able to push ANYTHING through...the conservatives still have the supreme court and there might be enough conservative dems to make it more difficult for him...hard to say.
