In what I consider to be a fit of, ummm, lack of imagination, AMD doesn't allow A64s to be used in a DP configuration. It seems that because Intel gets a premium for DP, AMD wants the same. I personally think that the ease of doing DP(and more) with HTT is a strong selling point for AMD and this decision is short sighted, there it is. In one sense I can see this, Microsoft requires at least XP Pro to support two processors. But Intel was able to negotiate an exception for HT. AMD should have tried to do the same.
