Stumbled over Paice vs. Toyota, an earlier patent infringement case regarding Toyota´s hybrid cars. This time the conflict was about a microprocessor controlling torque transfer between the petrol engine and the electric motor. The case was ultimately settled last year in the Supreme Court. Toyota had to pay Paice LLC 4.3 million dollars and, I believe, $25 per vehicle sold in the future. Now, that´s depressing money and makes you wonder about Solomon´s prospects, doesn´t it?
