Oh, boy, could I use a free pass on my mortgage!
Lots of people that live in condos here in S. Florida are trying it. Seems that if you're in trouble (not making your mortgage payments for whatever reason), the banks will bail you out. Now, if you're struggling to make your mortgage payments, and do make them, they won't listen to you at all. Only the ones that are ready to be foreclosed on are being helped.
I know of some in my neighborhood that haven't made mortgage payments, or maintenance assessements for over 14 to 20 months, are still living in their units. Amazing..
