If they're getting those ASPs that we saw yesterday, why the rush?

Do you have a link to what you mean?

BTW, you may have a good point, under the assumption that AMD capacity would be sold out at good ASPs, where dual core ASPs would not justify the trouble.

But AMD should not be beaten to market by Intel, and it would actually be nice if AMD beat Intel to market by a quarter or so.
