Our present washer and dryer are old GE rebranded units.

My appliances are GE units, too. My dryer is about 30 YO, but still works good. If I have to work on it I have to take it out of the laundry room and work on it in the kitchen. The washer is about 15YO.

Of all the North American brands out there, there are only a handful of actual manufacturers. Rebranding.

I think Whirlpool is the biggest manufacturer by far now, since they bought Maytag.

Whirlpool also manufactures IKEA brand appliances for low-cost home products retailer IKEA and Admiral appliances for Home Depot.
