OK, here's my plan...

I gets me one of these desktop Psystars sinclap is always palavering about and the first thing I do is pull out the wireless card.

Then I migrates all me current apps to it, along with Parallels and Win XP.

This gives me Office, Photoshop and a whole bunch of other stuff on a 3.3GHz machine with a DVD burner, 8GB of RAM, video card and a 1TB HD, locked down for what amounts to computer eternity. A frozen backup, in other words.

I guess my main question is this: is all this stuff gonna continue to operate in internet limbo or is everything so programmed these days that it won't work if it can't eventually talk back to the respective mothership?

In other words, is PS gonna give up the ghost one day because it keeps repeatedly trying to contact Mr. Adobe but Mr. Adobe just won't answer? Ditto OS X, Aperture, Lightroom, Win XP itself and so on and so on?

What am I possibly overlooking here?

Anyone know?

Cuz otherwise I'm thinking I might take the Psystar Plunge just for the heck of it.
