NEWS NEWS....Since people don't really read the news when we have it, I'll post old news that will read like new for them... FIRST, from ITT's break down of the LISA with the ARMY which specifically details our Alexandrite LASER "Concurrently, a frequency-tripled, air-cooled alexandrite laser is being
developed to serve as the final field transmitter.
The alexandrite laser has the advantage of being an all-solid state source containing no hazardous gases".

That should sound familiar from the 2 guys someone mentioned about being close to BB! The highlight of that sentence is the "NO HAZARDOUS GASES" ie Flash pump compared to Solid State.
SECOND, people keep asking why BB doesn't put out hard dates, wrong again, let me quote him from a article "Battis says he expects to deliver the laser to the military by third-quarter 2009; troops could place the sensor on vehicles to examine battlefields from afar and also on aircraft that may pass through tainted clouds". That's what I call a date!

THIRD, here's what the ARMY's timeline is for LISA. Notice it's the same as what BB said in that Sept article and every prnews release LNGT has released since Mid 2007.
"In FY07, the CUGR ACTD authorized the JCSD contractor(ITT) to make additional SW and HW improvements. After completion of SW/HW improvements, a 4QFY08 Technical Demonstration, Operational Limited User Assessment, and Surety Evaluation are planned. The JCSD will transition to the Joint Program Manager, NBC Contamination Avoidance in 1QFY09 after completion of technical and opeartional demonstrations and receipt of a favorable Military Utility Assessment.

So sorry if it seems like I've attacked people, but when we kick stuff back n forth and they come at me like "We don't know the Budget for next year" I get kind of mad since it's already been pasted awhile back, and it's the biggest ever. The word UNINFORMED and TROUBLEMAKER come to mind, so sorry...
