You've missed the whole point. Any company that sets out to present what they want others to see has an upperhand. Depending upon how much money and front they want to use in the accumulation of revenue for whatever their end purpose might be.
HMGP may be everything you say and be everything you saw, but the inalienable truth is that it is what it is, be it good or be it bad.
I have over $15,000 cash invested in this company and truly hope beyond hope that all is well and the shareprice goes up. However, that said, the path over the last 12-18 mos has not been one of reassurance on the part of HMGP management.
I posted the true example of what a determined group can do if they choose to, not that HMGP management is involved in any activity like that or similar to that.
I was taken big time by a company back twenty or so years ago called First International Oil & Gas out of Denver. They had some great trend leases in an area just outside of Richardsville, KY near Bowling Green. They hired me to assist in raising capital for a sixteen well drilling program and to assist the 'local' engineer and geologist with the project.
The drilling program went well, we brought in 15 of the sixteen wells drilled as production wells, losing only one to technical issues. The wells were drilled using compressed air-drilling rigs, and as a bonus, a well was even videotaped downhole to show investors the oil and foggy gas exuding from the fractured limestone reservoir.
Oil went into the tanks, gas gathering lines were being laid to a shipping line ,our wells also produced a god awful amount of dissolved gas in oil as the API gravity of our crude was 32-35.
I personally held investment seminars using the reservoir data, early production figures, geology and the video to raise in excess of two million dollars and others in the organization raised an additional four million dollars.
I was successful, the company offered to me a stock package in lieu of professional fee for services rendereed, entered into a contract for an ongoing 5% ownership for the long haul.
The bottom line is that once this was accomplished, they refused to put the leases into the name of the limited partnership drilling packages, sucked the revenue out of the company and hid it offshore, collpased the now financially bare corporation and went somewhere, as we cannot locate the principals, they probably are on some island laughing their arses off at the boobs/marks.
No stock value, no cash, no payments just poof!
Point being, the face to face time, the on-site presence/experience, is at best tenuous with many small oil operations. I am not proud of my failures, but I am cautious.
The ultimate truth here is in what the HMGP management choose to do to support the shareholder/investor base.
