There is an investigation concerning the leak. I don't deny or affirm that the source is the white house. But I don't think it is much of a story. The purpose of naming Wilson's wife was not to punish him, as much as he likes that charactrization. It was to show that the reason for the trip was shallow and political, it was his wife who arranged for him to be sent. In his book, he relates he talked to several government officials, he said he didn't as for extraction reports and the like because he already knew there was nothing there. Then, amazingly enough, he recounts a conversation with an official who does say there was an Iraqi who may have been inquiring about buying uranium. He didn't remember the name and Wilson wasn't interested in knowing it, but the official later recognizes the Iraqi on TV, it was Baghdad Bob!
