Five Reasons Not to Vote For John McCain

1. The Federal Government is a huge mess because of lobbyists and special interest groups.
John McCain now claims to be the candidate for change, but his entire campaign is run and staffed by lobbyists. Just one example: McCain’s senior advisor is lobbyist Charlie Black. Black and his partners have acted as registered foreign agents for a number of dictators and regimes committing torture and genocide. As recently as February, Black was conducted his lobbying work from aboard McCain's campaign bus, the "Straight Talk Express." Many more lobbyists working for Wall Street banks, oil, drug and military contractor companies are running McCain’s campaign. The change slogan by McCain is a sham.

2. The national economy is a mess because of policies and laws McCain and his allies pushed through during the last decade. The bank bailout disaster? Deregulation pushed by McCain and his economic honcho Phil Gramm created 90% of the bank mess. McCain brags about being a deregulator. Kind of like bragging that you got rid of the police department, then acting shocked when crime skyrocketed.

3. Our foreign policy is a mess because John McCain and the Republican-led congress supported George W. Bush on every vote which has led to our expensive, needless war in Iraq and the worsening combat efforts in Afghanistan with a resurgent Taliban.
McCain touts his foreign policy credentials but his voting history shows he would make a horrible Commander In Chief. John McCain is no conservative; he is a big spending backer of government that has violated the constitution, and reduced our stature in the world.

4. Sarah Palin. A cynical grab for the know-nothing vote. She is way in over her head.

5. John McCain has shown he is erratic and impulsive. (See Item 4) Not exactly the qualities we look for in the person who has his finger on the nuclear button. His volatility seems to have increased. A person his age takes quite a few prescription drugs, these could be factors.
He is way too close to a 2008 version of Dr Strangelove to be President.
