& Daiello....lets just say this b/c I think my posts may be giving you the wrong idea of how I feel...at least I think u r choosing to read more into them than the pt I am trying to convey...which is...we are on a VERY slippery slope here....we gotta decide who/what we wanna be? Right now our govt is drwaing several lines in the free market sand....something that is quite dangerous..especially considering how totally fiscally & economically inpet this admin is.

Where do you propose they stop giving handouts I guess is where I'm gettin at? & handouts to those who took huge risks (@ 40-1 leveragae which the bush admin allowed I might add)...shouldn't those who took those risks pay for their decisions in some way? Instead....it is you & I who are being asked to pony up for bad biz practices. How about this....would you be willing to help cover any trading losses I've had over the last 5-6 yrs? heck, if ya wanna, I aint gonna complain....lol

Pt is this....we gotta take our meds, that much of course I do realize...the prob I have w/all of this is to what degree should you & I be laible for all this? & how much should these institutions who racked up all these losses be held accountable? So far from what I can tell....those folks who racked up ALL the losses are gettin off scott-free (& w/a HUGE bonuses I might add) while you & I are left holding the bag. & even more so....what will all this do to the economy in a few yrs time? I shudder to think.

But since you're are in the econ field I guess you don't need any further explanation....but I will tell you this....if you ever see a econ class that's tought by William Fleckenstein..I highly suggest you chase those units...at a minimum, read some of his latest work. If you don't happen to learn anything, at least you will be that much more informed on the points I am trying to make here.

OK....sure hope that puts in better light what I'm trying ta say here.....& having said that...once again we'll agree to disagree....I dont expect to change your views but by the same token I don't want you to misinterpret mine...so hopefully this should put this one to bed...for today...lol

I'm already past 5 posts on the day so I best go easy for a few hrs...at least til after Ben is done takin the mrts even further down...lol
