Anyone got any info on netnanny's balance sheet?
Also I really think Grub may come into it's own this year (although I am not diving in feet first yet - just a small trade).
The new Grub client they have done is much sturdier and more scalable than the last one - they should be able to build on it a lot quicker than previously now.
They have written it as a generic distributed computing platform (i.e. crawling is not it's primarily functionality).
If you notice, client control and crawler are just two 'plug in' functions in the left menu with lot of space left for further additions which gives them the option on a whole host of distributed functionality.
There are a lot of possibilities beyond search for this, and it is very possible that a providing a generic distributed computing service would be very attractive in a number of areas to different companies (with local search as the user incentive).
