Indeed....I dont think most folks truly realize all the implications of what's taking place....tho it's not necessarily right b4 our eyes.....the stuff that's right b4 our eyes is incredible enuff...it's certainly very scary to think just what else is goin on right now....the stuff they wanna keep us in the dark with.
Funny...some of the ones who are calling for more regulation & the closure of the loopholes so stuff like this wont occur again...are the same ones who will no doubt make out after this is all said & done in a few yrs in finding the new loopholes to fleece the system & the rest of the public with. I still feel the fox will be guarding the hen's nest....after all, the fox is the one whose most likely gonna be making up all the new rules & regs....wadda joke.
Too bad the genl populous doesn't get this & figure out just where our 2 party republocrat regime continues to lead us. If a 3rd party still can't get a voice during & after all this...especially in an election year, me thinks we'll never see the day when that ever happens...hard to imagine folks aren't so PO'd that they wanna rise up & have a REAL voice & platform.
I best stop here & get back more so on topic....the October Currency Trader has an article "Currencies & the crisis of confidence".....sounds right up your alley Nettles...& you too Daiello b/c under the title the lead in goes on ta say "The buck faces a rocky road as the US weathers the current financial crisis, but it might fare better than the economy as a whole."
Guess that's an article I best read since I'm in disagreement with. & after also reading the cAt's thoughts on the matter....guess I better dig a lil deeper into my line of reasoning on the matter. One thing I feel more folks need to do...especially these days.....try listening to views other than their own...if anything, if ya don't learn anything new, at least it reinforces your views....& thus you will be better informed.
I find it humorous when folks tell ya why they feel a certain way...then when ya ask'em about the other side of the story...they really haven't looked into any other views b/c they've already found a side to be in agreement with. At least that's what they think...but how can they truly know if they dont give ample time to learn about other views & ways of looking at the same thing?
Kinda like the fact that at the end of the day, there's not really all that big of a diff between the dem & gop platforms....which I guess takes me right back to the political thread....so I'll stop it here. Guess I shoulda kept my venti @ 4 shots this AM instead of ordering that extra 5th shot.....ya shoulda seen the look on the Barista's face when I said 5 shots....she said "that bad eh?" for which my reply was...."haven't ya seen all the headlines as of late...you surely have a few employee sbux shares dont ya?"
