One would think that after soooooo much time had passed during the SEC review that they would have had a chance to at least draft a PR describing all their accomplishments during the "lawyer mandated silent period". Now a weekend....and yet another day have passed after the SEC issue has been resolved and still no PR.

Any bets on what the new excuse is going to be? Here's a few choices:

1. "The roads are too muddy and we can't get to a fax machine."
2. "The mechanic with the bad back ran off with it."
3. "The lawyers have advised us not to issue any statements until the Bailout Plan has been settled."
4. "We are waiting on the price of oil to go up to $200."
5. "The SEC investigation has wiped us out and CB feels the PR money would be better spent on Employee Retirement packages."
6. "The fax machine at the Mineral Wells Best Western is busy."
7. "Another storm is brewing and Charles may rather let the world know that 'IT RAINED' again."
8. "There's a paper shortage in Texas due to all the big boys getting their PR's out. We'll just have to wait for supplies."
9. "Forget those wells, did we tell y'all about this super-duper oil pump and HOA fluid we got?"
10. "Yeah, we've been selling oil. Have you seen our website? We're selling little pints of oil in these plastic containers. Every little bit counts, right?"

And finally, one last possibility:

"Charles is busy counting his shares."

Sorry, RISK, is most of those are before your time here, but by the looks of it you'll get to experience a whole new slew of excuses.
