You can't buy up the naked short. They just issue more air shares. Naked shorting doesn't look to borrow shares so float has no bearing like it would on legit shorting that looks to borrow shares. You can only force them to cover which few companies can unless they make money and a lot of it over time. SPNG will eventually force covering only because of how well profits will grow and open up options to deal with them. Like a cash div or uplisting etc. Business is not about quick solutions it about building long term sustainable growth. They are starting to do that this year and that will take care of share price. Might not be as fast as some like but so be it.
