I asked Les what makes up Price Phrase and he kindly explained that to me. though I do not know why it is 10dma and 40dma instead of the more common 20dma and 50dma.

I believe in the past you dont use moving average.

Les scans show even for short term, moving averages are still very powerful.

Les said the trend score is a combination of several elements, at least some involved moving average.
