I always thought that our viricide particles were about the size of a virus and simply cuddled up to the virus and enveloped it in its embrace and quite literally smothered it. And I figure that is still what takes place with the HIV virus bits. What I've read recently (and posted about) is that the HIV at some point in its infection life goes dormant, but that some figure there may likely be a way to coax these reluctant viruses (I think it was the herpes ones that the article related to but it was definitely about coaxing) out for a wee embrace by our guys and get rid of HIV COMPLETELY. I kinda like doc F's bit about counter-intuitive - that tickles my fancy because it so often turns out to be the key to the answer. Our HIV-Cide cleans out the roaming virus particles and somehow a message is sent to their hidden comrades that there is a need for replication - and out of hiding they come to be picked off to the last one.

The SEC Must Go!
And jail shorters.
