I don't know for sure if broadening of patents takes place during re-exam, preappeal or post appeal, but this statement nontheless is per general discussions. Broadening of patents is an actual occurance within the patent process. If it is incorrect, it is not an act to "mislead". However, if you look at Claims #1, 17, 28, 32, 36, 52, 63, 71, 87 & 92, all have in fact been changed while a number have been elongated, e.g. addition of Subpara. d, e, f, etc. regarding a remote server. Hope this helps alleviate whatever concern it is you have.
