Valid point IMO, I think the Middle Class America has all but disappeared until now, The Credit market made everyone virtual "Millionaires" I stress the word "Virtual" The United States has always been a minimum 3 class structured country, Now you have the "Have and the Have Nots" This will only lead to further problems IMO. I do feel that all of this will bring down further Government controls and more Big Brother into the Homes in America.
