Chinese research

Hope you guys don't mind if I bring my Chinese research on WWEI over here... Yahoo board is a mess and I can no longer post links, probably due to the bashers reporting me for factual research...

anyways, I have been doing some more digging for info... looking into Windcor in China to try to find more info on the Zhanjiang project. For those who don't know Welwind and Wincor are working closely on these projects. Shannon de Delley (the managing director of WWEI) is the President of Windcor. WWEI has signed a developmental agreement with Windcor.

To start with I needed to find Windcor's Chinese name. I started with Mr. de Delley's at the bottom, and since he mentions Windcor found it there.

http://www.welwind.com/cp-zhanjiang-MrShannon.php

I used this name for my search (ETA Characters deleted- Sorry looks like the system does not like Chinese characters they come out gibberish)
In English it is Zhanjiang Windcor wind farm company (Googlish - Zhanjiang wind wind power surplus Ltd.)

I searched for this on the Chinese browsers and found a few things, such as this - (posted mainly for outside verification of the Chinese name)

Chinese-

googlish-

and I found this -

The Guangdong province government water bureau test result for soil and water conservation, from June 2008.

Windcor is developing the project in Zhanjiang that Welwind is invested in. The project seems to be moving forward according to this. I also found several articles but nothing new.

And here is my original work brought over from the yahoo board.-

My purpose in doing this research is to refute claims that WWEI is a scam company, and they are not even working on projects in China.

I have lived in China for several years and done business there. I will say that the business climate as a foreign investor can be quite challenging and frustrating. It takes a while to get things done, to get things approved when it involves officials/Gov. bureaus, etc.

I have a limited knowledge of Chinese and Chinese characters. I have used that to do some research to see

1. If in fact WWEI is to be found in China,

2. Is there a wind project happening in Zhanjiang as mentioned on the WWEI website.

3. Is there mention of WWEI being involved.

To do that I first started with WWEI's name. In China, everything foreign is given a Chinese name using characters, foreign names are not used (or are used in tandem with the Chinese name). This includes people's names, companies, etc. It usually is designed to be similar sounding (transliteration) or sometimes meaning is involved in choosing the name. For example, Coca-Cola becomes KeKe KeLe, Pepsi becomes BaiShi KeLe. WWEI's Chinese name is found on their website in the press release from 2006 for the ground breaking of the Zhanjiang farm. The name is (Characters deleted) is referenced as (characters deleted); or WeiLi Investment Corporation (this is the shortened version). The literal translation of the name (WeiLi) is "Great Power" This is what you will see in Googlish translations of Chinese webpages, look for Canada Great power or Great power of Canada

With this information I began searching for (characters deleted) and (characters deleted) on Chinese search engines. My goal was to find mention of them and their involvement outside of company releases...

here you go- some googlish translations of Chinese news sources. It is hard to understand the Googlish but the point is they are there. They are older articles (most from 2007) but they are in my view outside sources of evidence of involvement.

see 2nd paragraph -

investment companies great power of Canada signed an agreement Ingeborg London investment will be for equity investment, Canada is the great power to Inge for the purchase of equipment.

2.http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgd.dayoo.com%2Fgb%2Fcontent%2F2007-01%2F31%2Fcontent_2749582.htm&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

2nd to last paragraph

According to the Guangzhou Inge wind power equipment manufacturer who is responsible for co Dengyun River, and they have great power of the Canadian investment firm co-operation in Yangjiang, Guangdong, Zhanjiang has investment

3. http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.08588.com.cn%2Fvc%2Fworld%2F3514.html&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=zh-CN&tl=en

They are mentioned several times in this one-

1st paragraph-
Following the end of last year's production of 750KW wind turbine, Guangzhou and Inge was a contract for the great power of Canada's investment in Zhanjiang and Yangjiang in the provision of wind farm equipment.

"Great Power" is mentioned several more times.

end of first paragraph-
great power of the International Energy Group Ltd. (Canada) related to staff that will spend 4,000,000,000 yuan yang in the West wind power project construction, which is The company invested in the domestic construction projects in the second.

5. a picture, (from a year ago) from the Guangdong Provincial Geological Bureau, of survey work for the "Great Power" International Energy group.

this one does not mention "Great Power" directly but is about the Zhanjiang project we are waiting on. It mentions involvement of a Canadian company among others.

last paragraph in the "move" section

Wind currently has surplus with Canada, Germany and other foreign companies in the wind resource-rich islands in Zhanjiang East wind power, August 15 will be put up there in the first wind turbine. It is learned that wind power generated electricity will be sold to Southern Power Grid to use.

I included this last article because it is recent, from July 2008, speaks of the Zhanjiang project construction project, and mentions that the power will be sold to the Southern Power grid, this to me says the PPA is in the works.

Sorry for the length of the post but I wanted to be as detailed as possible to show that Welwind is a player in China and not a scam... if you don't believe me learn Chinese.

I will admit the company has made mistakes on timelines and that has hurt their credibility but they are involved and I am willing to wait for the PPA's to start coming, because they will come...
