i feel greenberg was told to reduce his position in AIG. he will now probably buy units that the company and he feel are important, but need to sell to raise capital. then when the loan is repaid to the feds. greenberg will then sell them back to liddy at a profit. that is why i feel liddy and greenberg are working together for AIG'S best interest. they are doing all possible to facilitate aig so we will be out from under this gov't umbrella faster than expected liddy says 12 months. liddy is no slouch. and aig is greenberg's baby. he still has an interest in this company with the stock he still owns. and why would he sell his stock now at 3.00 share when he could have sold at 5.00? because they have figured out a way to help each other to bring an end to the means. with the gov't having 79% share interest they also have majority voting rights when selling off assets. so greenberg is going to make sure the profitable aspects are held intact with his firm until repayment is done. and to make sure the gov't doesnt continue to undermine aig and its stockholders and assets. they understand that less govt intervention the better. and when we can get this monkey off our backs the stock will soar!!!!!! jmo sf
