I think the "bail out" goes a little far if money gets shifted overseas. What the UK did was show us how vulnerable their own banking system is. That intensifies the need to assure we come up with a plan that will satisfy the needs of many nations. If the fruitcakes we have in office would actually focus on the solution instead of bickering with one another, we wouldn't be here.
I wonder what it will take for some idiot in the Beltway to get a clue. Why have ordinary people like us been seeing this coming, but the "suits" in the Beltway haven't seen a damned thing. ?? Why? I'm pissed. Particularly since they let the banking system get to near oblivion before they did anything. They had to have known these things. Somebody had to have known this. And despite what is coming out of the Beltway, this was not caused by the public sector. It was caused by the Govt! BUSH was PUSHING housing to keep the economy moving while he fought this stupid pissing match with Hussein and bin Laden. I can't believe people can't see this.
Anyway, thanks for keeping the board to "cutting edge news." Believe me, there will be a lot of people reviewing this board in the future. Wishing. . . .they would have been here a long time ago.
Peace,
