These are the "consumers" - A beverage company wont deal directly with its end consumers, they will deal with the presidents, owners, marketers, distributors, etc in order to get their product moved.

Most individuals wouldnt buy truckloads of product. Kind of a waste of resources to try to market to individual consumers.

The public is usually never invited to events like this.

The "Consumer Electronics Show" is TRADE ONLY and the public is not invited, so was Comdex. CES is the biggest electronics trade show. Manufacturers like to present to people that are buying large quantities of their products to resell to the end consumers.
