I talked to Of buddy of mine who has been trading for over 20yrs. He said your shares would just transfer over to the new symbol. If there was a buy out they would have to buy your shares. the only way you could lose your shares is if the company died to the ground. Or if the ceo or management complety changed the company and made a new name for itself.
