Advantages

Supports standard Mobile IPv4
No need for special features in existing Firewall solutions
No extra overhead in client traffic
Enables separation of the VPN termination if the HA is not reachable from public network
Creates a new product nisch
Enhanced functionality in a ”Nortel Only” Environment. E.g in administration and network management area
Nortel ”free” to set the price
Maybe possible to file patent in this area

Drawbacks

Solution in eploration phase, no products available in near future
Requires an ”integrated” MIPv4/VPN client
