Seems to me if I were crew on a GOM rig and I were asked my druthers about going to the GOG -- I might say all things being equal I'd as soon stay around home.
Now if there were monetary inducements presented then I might be willing to make this decision another way. Such negotiations might be the cause for the hold-up in closing the deal. Mere speculation of course.
