Bird, the XBox flop in Japan is not mirrored in the US and, apparently, in your neck of the woods and in Europe. Plus, my son assures me that the XBox is way cool, with great games about to be released exclusively for XBox, and games drive this market.

But I was ruminating on some disparate facts to see if they line up. P Allen sells down his ownership interest in TMTA to just below the 5% owner threshold, but keeps it in the family. Word on the street is that the MSFT COO is interested in becoming CEO of TMTA. MSFT seems interested in developing a hardware chip for the XBox based on their new intermediate language but backward compatible with the current XBox chip. This would be a great app for CMS. The new TM5800 with enhanced CMS and running 1 Ghz would seem ideal to realize the Chief Software Architect's vision for the Tablet PC. Then there are those vague rumors of MSFT's predatory interest in TMTA that never seem to become public but don't seem to go away either. Might be just scattershot, or is there a pattern?

regards, wsh
