Yedioth Ahronoth Selects UpCode Solution's Mobile Platform

Yedioth Ahronoth, a media company from Israel, has chosen UpCode Ltd., a company from Finland developing advanced mobile solutions, for converting its printed media into interactive media.

Yedioth wants to engage users through various services by scanning Ycodes powerd by UpCode with their mobile phones on print, so that its users can view mobile content on their devices, and access numerous applications.

The company has integrated a number of solutions to provide its users with advanced solutions, such as CRM and mobile payment solutions.

UpCode Ltd. offers a Mobile Access and Interaction (MAI) Platform, including an optical reader that uses mobile phones/devices to add any electronic information or system to printed products and to electronic information on screens.

The application helps in integration of all businesses and forms of e-commerce, with print and screen media. Mobile phone users get multiple access and interaction through the code offered by the platform, which can be a 2D data matrix, QR-code, 1D barcode, color code, or any other type oftag ( News - Alert) picture, OCR etc.


For example, the users can get access to Internet content simply by pointing their phone at a code deploying the MAI platform. The platform is established working in 43 countries worldwide.

Assaf Avrahami, chief executive officer of Yedioth Information Technology, said the company has installed a multifunctional mobile information system powered by UpCode, as the company's intention is to be a media leader in applying advanced information technologies. Avrahami noted that Yedioth sees a great potential in UpCode Mobile Access and Interaction Platform (MAI).

Sture Udd, chief executive officer of UpCode Ltd., said the company is excited to include the Yedioth Ahronoth to its growing global arsenal and its UpCode 'Mobile Access and Interaction' Platform(MAI).

Udd added that the company believes this is the start of many new and compelling ways for the media industry, and it has now officially enabled and furthered the many possibilities of interactivity when utilizing its new platform. He noted that deploying the UpCode MAI platform, Yeditoh makes it now possible to interact with its customers, also giving them choice, convenience and control.
