according to gold monkey's post he quoted the following from an email he says he received from WS
"completed the Gemological Institute of America Diamond course in July 1979. I'm presently upgrading my qualifications at the same institute by correspondence."

Of course Cubby says "nobody cares if walter is a gia graduate or not he has never said he was he only said he was a gemologist" That seems to be opposite to what is posted above.

So two different thoughts. One thing. Everyone is saying who cares if he is or not, what basis does that have on him running NSDM. I agree with that. Many individuals without degrees are successful businessmen. But this is not the point of this thread. The point is did he tell the truth? You can spin all you want about whether it means anything.
