“Our capital markets are built upon principles of integrity and ethical behavior,” said Brent M. Cook, Raser’s Chief Executive Officer. “We cannot tolerate the malicious practices of improper short selling and market manipulation and still maintain orderly and efficient markets. We must have a level the playing field for all investors and take strong corrective actions against those that seek to abuse the system. We must protect America’s companies from financial sabotage through unlawful short selling and market manipulation. We are calling upon those that are supposed to enforce the rules to take immediate action. We cannot idly sit by while these unlawful attacks and manipulation of our shareholders’ investment in our company occur. We have seen a continued pattern of painting the tape with off-market trades and apparent naked short selling. We believe that those that are improperly profiting from these illegal activities must be held accountabl
