I agree Raven, it reminds me of paramedic class and ACLS class in the acls book for the 90 paramedic class (it stated for a known stroke or heart attack highly suspect too a blood clot--the protocol was start 2 lines and adminster tpa @ $2000.00 a dose--- and latter on in the article it also stated that the save rates were just as high with 2 doses of NORMAL ASPIAN @ 2 cents a dose!! BUT they always pushed the TPA!)
