VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2008) - i-minerals inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:IMA - News) announces that further to its press release of May 15, 2008 the US Army Corp of Engineers ("USACE"), the lead agency for the permitting process, has accepted the Section 404 Wetland Permit Application ("the Application") and approved the Application for public comment. The Application was submitted May 16, 2008 along with the preliminary National Environmental Policy Act ("NEPA") review for the Helmer Bovill project.
The Application was accepted under application number 2006-640-CO1, having a public notice date of August 7, 2008, with any comments due before the expiry of the 30 day period on September 6, 2008. Following the public comment period and response to substantive comments, the USACE will finalize the authorization of the permit.
