This PR seems to be having a good affect on the stock price.

PPS now up 284% on 470K shares traded.

Would it be too much to hope for some follow thru and an actual deal being consummated?

PR says: "MODC will post full summary and consolidated financials on or about 25 September 2008."

That's certainly worth waiting for.
